About the Event

Curated by Cate Agnew, Head of Valuation Natixis (New York)

Speakers:

Jennifer CareyJennifer Carey is founder and CEO of JLC Environmental.  Her passions have included expanding the real-world understanding of  environmental health and safety (ESH) and providing EHS training courses to thousands of real estate professionals nationally and internationally.  There couldn’t be a more direct or timely example of ESH challenges than COVID-19, and Jen has been consulting with state and national officials on the long-ranging effects of not just the virus, but our response to it.  What are the metrics for ESH in this pandemic, and how can they forward us and possibly lead us?

Dan LesserDan is a leader and sought-after speaker for hospitality consulting.  Dan’s body of work is national and international, consulting with hospitality owners and operators on not just their financial operations but their day to day executive of building and operating plans.  The hospitality industry is facing unique and enormous challenges, and Dan will be able to provide us insight into the mechanics of how a hotel must brand itself as “safe” to the consumer to be able to re-open; what parts of the hospitality experience can become no-touch or touch-safe, yet still be welcoming.  How is tech helping to achieve this goal?  Dan will give us some insight into this.

Rachel MervaRachel is principal of RM Consulting, working primarily with Allianz Real Estate of America LLC in addition to other clients. She has worked in asset management on the CRE debt side for much of her career, running the reporting and controlling function reporting to the CFO.  Rachel  focuses on strategic corporate projects and software development, including levering PropTech integration to not only automate but expand the use of technology.  Bringing these applications to bear to understand how they can forward the new paradigm we are in will be a challenge for all.
